Job description
SUMMARYAssists, trains, and instructs test technicians. Assists technicians with work priorities, trouble‑shooting, and set‑up. Assist with build and design of test fixtures, along with repair and calibration of test equipment. Operates sophisticated test equipment to conduct a variety of functional, operational, environmental and life tests necessary to evaluate performance and reliability of components in equipment systems. Prepares and maintains records, charts, diagrams, and completes necessary paperwork.
PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide training and assistance to other technicians.
- Assist other techs with work priorities, trouble‑shooting, and set‑up.
- Provide test support for engineers and new projects.
- Will be involved in the repair and calibration of test equipment for all facilities.
- Assist with the design and build of test fixtures.
- Will be required to assist with CRG quotes as needed.
- Operates sophisticated test equipment and testing systems to set up, align and test all types of complex electrical components, equipment, and systems.
- Accepts conforming products and rejects nonconforming products.
- Troubleshoots electrical components, equipment and systems to determine cause of nonconformance to specifications.
- Maintains related test and repair documentation.
- May be required to perform additional duties as directed.
- Must receive training identified in FRCQP-1800 as applicable.
- Must perform job duties in compliance with FRC’s quality system.
- Must have the technical knowledge to understand and operate sophisticated test equipment and overall calibration of testing systems for set up, alignment, testing and troubleshooting of all types of complex electrical components, equipment, and systems.
- Technical knowledge necessary to deal with engineer designed and resigned circuits, components, and devices is required.
- ASEE/ASEET or equivalent is required.
- Must pass far, near, and color vision acuity testing per customer requirements.
- Must be able to meet requirements of FAA drug and alcohol program.
- Must complete certification for J-STD-001 solder training and A610 inspector training.
- 2 year degree in a technical program preferred but will train the right candidate
- Must be 18 years old and US Citizen
