Job Summary:
Leading the maintenance and engineering department in a dynamic plant, the Plant Engineer will be instrumental in maintaining optimal building and equipment performance. By reducing mechanical downtime and ensuring efficient product flow, you will ensure our production lines operate at maximum capacity. Responsible for implementing advanced maintenance systems such as Preventative and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, and more, you will drive our plant to new standards within a High Performing Manufacturing Organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:
· Oversees capital projects from inception to completion.
· Manages and coordinates all project elements to ensure minimal impact on plant operations, delivering projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety, food safety, and environmental guidelines.
· Leads the development and implementation of cutting-edge maintenance systems to optimize plant performance.
· Drives Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, and other impactful strategies, ensuring efficient scheduling for maximum task completion with minimal downtime.
· Manages the maintenance team through task delegation, policy enforcement, and work assignment oversight.
· Identify and implement solutions to operational issues, ensuring smooth daily plant operations with minimal recurring challenges.
· Promote continuous improvement by developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators that gauge the effectiveness of maintenance operations.
Education & Experience Requirements for Plant Engineer:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field from a recognized university and at least 8 years of relevant experience; or a comparable combination of education and experience is necessary.
· At least 2 years of experience in team leadership or project management is required
· Previous experience in Food Manufacturing.
· Demonstrated Change Management skills.
· Excellent leadership, planning, teamwork, analytical, and adaptability skills.
· Advanced technical expertise in mechanical/electrical areas (e.g. PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering, etc.) and the ability to lead resource planning in a large manufacturing setting.
· Thorough understanding of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc.
· Proficient in using exposure monitoring equipment, interpreting results, and communicating findings effectively.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly.
· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
