Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications are required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification is recommended. Proficiency with electronic medical record systems is needed. Recommended skills include advanced triage and assessment, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Experience with trauma activation, sepsis protocols, and interdisciplinary teamwork is valuable.
