Job Summary:
**
** The Serviceman II at Heidelberg Materials US Cement LLC is responsible for performing a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and machinery within the cement plant, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on a diverse range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment, including conveyors, crushers, kilns, mills, and mobile equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Perform repairs, replacements, and overhauls of components such as bearings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and instrumentation.
- Conduct welding, fabrication, and cutting operations as needed for repairs and modifications.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and environmental regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Operate various heavy equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments regarding equipment status and repair progress.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and respond to emergency breakdowns as required.
- Assist in training less experienced personnel and sharing technical knowledge.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment (cement, mining, or similar).
- Proficient in mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), and hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair.
- Strong understanding of PLC logic and instrumentation is a plus.
- Competency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and fabrication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
