LSI announces a gratifying opportunity for a full‑time or part‑time Family Support Specialist in the Mason City area for our Early Childhood program in Cerro Gordo County.

Family Support Specialists offer home visits to expectant parents and caregivers of small children, providing parenting education, support, and advocacy. Family Support Workers link parents to resources, promote optimal child health and development, and problem‑solve with parents. Family needs and abilities are evaluated on an ongoing basis. Family Support Specialists assist families in designing individualized support plans and empower families over time to achieve their chosen goals.

Our home visitation program is part of a nationwide initiative designed to empower families to become and remain healthy and strong.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in health or human service‑related field or education.
• Required: Associate’s degree in health and human service‑related field or education and 2 years of experience.
