Base pay range$22.00/hr - $29.00/hr
The Accountant I is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and administrative functions to support daily financial operations. This role manages expense processing, invoicing, some accounts payable and receivable, and assists with payroll and compliance audits. The role ensures accurate and timely reporting within the company’s ERP system and supports management with financial data and analysis.
Role And Responsibilities- Managing income and expenditure accounts
- Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
- Prepare, issue, and track customer invoices through the ERP system to ensure accuracy and timely billing.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable (AP) invoices and vendor payments.
- Manage accounts receivable (AR) checks, deposits, and payment application in the ERP system.
- Conduct expense and time audits to support payroll accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist with payroll processing and respond to payroll-related inquiries as needed.
- Support state and internal audits by gathering, organizing, and submitting required documentation.
- Generate and distribute month-end and financial reports from ERP system for management review.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting files and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate data flow and reporting.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required).
- Experience with accounting software and data entry
- Experience with Acumatica (preferred)
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets
- Ability to work independently
- Analytical skills
- Strong Excel and general reporting skills.
Hours:
Full-time - In-office Monday–Friday; overtime as needed to meet demand.
