• Qualified purchasers are responsible for negotiating with suppliers for the products and services their organization needs. They coordinate logistics, delivery, and payment, and ensure timely, cost‑effective procurement.
  • Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses.
  • Assessing vendors through in‑person visits, interviews, and analysis to verify quality.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to meet customer requests.
  • Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit the company.
  • Coordinating with shipping agencies and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and maintain the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services.
  • Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record‑keeping.
  • Handling all transactions for the disc program.
  • Placing steel orders monthly.
  • Working with procurement to maintain inventories.
  • Scheduling shipments and processing RO/DO for shipments to plants.
  • Tracking racks, entering coil receipts for coils shipped to processors, and entering production as coils are produced at the processors.
  • Processing all invoices and reconciling monthly inventories.
  • Back invoicing/production entry and assisting with inventory tags.
  • Consignment customer invoicing and other duties as needed.
