Purchasing Assistant

Base pay range

$23.00/hr - $26.00/hr

Responsible for procuring materials, supplies, and services in accordance with established purchasing guidelines. Analyze cost factors to ensure decisions are both efficient and cost-effective. Maintain compliance with all purchasing policies and standard operating procedures.

• Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, services, and supplies based on approved purchase requisitions.
• Issue purchase orders through e-procurement systems, including vendor follow-up and expediting as needed.
• Support internal staff by addressing purchasing-related inquiries and entering requisitions into the SAP system when necessary.
• Process the receipt of goods and services within the SAP system.
• Provide assistance to vendors and employees in resolving purchasing-related issues.
• Manage the organization's corporate credit card program.
• Oversee the direct e-procurement website program.
• Manage the business aspects of current landline and mobile phone contracts.
• Research and identify potential suppliers, including reviewing availability of parts, equipment, materials, and services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to purchasing, invoicing, and vendor concerns.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
