The Senior Process Equipment Engineer is responsible for shaping high-performance equipment strategies, driving reliability initiatives, and leading ongoing optimization efforts to consistently deliver superior operational results. This role acts as the primary technical resource for process equipment, maintaining a broad and advanced understanding of systems used in polymer processing, sterile manufacturing, and oral solid dose production. The position plays a key role in continuous improvement and supports both commercial and clinical manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the designated owner of critical manufacturing equipment, guiding long-term reliability efforts, performance enhancements, and capacity preparedness.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of new equipment—including design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and startup.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with automated processing and packaging systems used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams on repairs, preventive maintenance plans, and spare-parts strategies.
- Deliver hands‑on training and operational support for new machinery and processes.
- Prepare and maintain clear, compliant operational procedures and technical documents in alignment with GMP expectations.
- Plan and execute engineering evaluations, change management activities, deviation investigations, and commissioning/qualification tasks.
- Conduct risk assessments (e.g., FMEA) to strengthen equipment reliability and system performance.
- Address deviations and ensure timely follow‑through on corrective and preventive actions, as well as audit findings.
- Lead or support site‑level initiatives focused on process improvements, efficiency gains, and operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of manufacturing or technical experience.
