Clopay Corporation has an opening for an innovative Mechanical Engineer to join the New Product Development team in Mason, Ohio, to design, build, and launch cutting‑edge products, managing the full product lifecycle from initial R&D and conceptual design to rapid prototyping, rigorous testing, and integration with manufacturing.

• Spearhead Full‑Cycle Design & Innovation:
  Advocate for customers, drive conceptualization and design of new parts and complete systems for sectional and coiling overhead doors, lead multidisciplinary teams, partner with Marketing, and present designs to stakeholders.
• Hands‑On Builder & Problem‑Solver:
  Build, assemble, and test engineering prototypes, interact with manufacturing teams, validate designs against structural and life safety codes.
• Master the Engineering Ecosystem:
  Utilize Autodesk Inventor for detailed drawings, develop core engineering standards, manage ECO process and create installation instructions.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Fluent in 3D modeling and capable of building complex parts and assemblies.
• Deep understanding of the product development process, including fabrication.
• Proficient with hand tools and basic power tools for prototyping.
• Excellent communication skills and proven talent for leading cross‑functional teams.
