Purdue R&D Engineer Co-op - Purdue Students ONLY

• Duration: 12-24 weeks within the fiscal year
• Compensation: co-op allowance (details vary by location)
• Employment type:
  
  temporary internship/co-op with a predicted ending point; no full-time commitment

• Work across multiple R&D areas to understand consumer needs and translate them into product design parameters and development plans.
• Collaborate with technologists and mentors to advance real needs for the business and develop new areas of mastery.
• Contribute to the innovation process and work in creative, collaborative environments where insights are valued.
• Engage in projects in areas such as:
  • Products Research
  • Product Formulation & Design
  • Packaging & Device Development
  • Process Development & Pilot Plant Operations
  • Material Development
  • Modeling and Simulation (M&S)
  • Data Science

• Bachelor’s or Master’s students majoring in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, Environmental or related fields) or science degrees
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or above (4.0 scale)
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and active listening
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment

• Ownership of projects from Day 1 with defined responsibilities
