Packaging Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer
On Line Design is currently looking for a full-time Packaging Engineer to work in Cincinnati, OH, with the ability to travel up to 10%. In this role, you will design injection molded packages and support supplier selection and qualification. To be successful in this role, you must have injection molding experience and have experience writing test plans, summaries, and general project management capabilities.
You will need at least 7 years of experience and a working knowledge of packaging and injection molding.
$40.00/hr - $75.00/hr
Responsibilities- Development and execution of test plans following standard procedures
- Design and development of injection molded packaging
- Qualification of new tooling and decoration
- Development, evaluation, specifications development, and sustainability of packaging materials and documentation of reports
- Test method development, validation, and statistical data analysis
- Work to ensure supplier qualifications for the materials
- AS/BS in Packaging, Mechanical, or Material Science and Engineering
- Background in injection molded packaging design
- Project management skills to set priorities, meet deadlines, propose solutions, and troubleshoot issues
- Knowledge of Enovia for specifications and Nexus for test result uploads
- Ability to travel as needed for test trials
