Position:Certified Pharmacy Technician – Mail Order Pharmacy - Mason Service Center
Job Summary:
The Certified Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing pharmacy services, including preparing pharmaceuticals, performing inventory control, compliance audits, financial transactions, customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records. The technician works as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
Essential Functions:- Receiving and verifying prescriptions for accuracy and authenticity
- Reviewing and recording patient information with prescriptions in compliance with guidelines
- Educating patients on proper medication use
- Supporting the Pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations
- Adhering to infection-control protocols to protect employees and patients
- Performing other duties as assigned
- High School Degree or GED
- Valid ExCPT Certification from the National Health career Association or PTCB certification, with registration with the State Board of Pharmacy (required)
- Previous experience in retail, outpatient, hospital, or home infusion pharmacy (preferred)
- Proactive in a dynamic environment
- Professional interaction with staff and patients
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medication names, and aseptic techniques
