The Vice President of Administration is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) responsible for overseeing the administrative infrastructure and shared services that support the company's manufacturing operations and long-term growth.

This role provides leadership to departments such as Human Resources, Recruiting, Legal/contracts, and general corporate administration while also providing leadership for cross-functional corporate projects to all departments. The VP of Administration works closely with the President/CEO and other functional leaders to improve organizational effectiveness, strengthen internal controls, manage business risk, and ensure the company's administrative resources effectively support manufacturing operations.

This position requires a hands‑on executive who is comfortable moving between strategic leadership and day‑to‑day problem solving.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Implement and manage effective records control and retention process
  • Maintain various business licenses, certifications, and renewals

    Drive of Policies, Processes, and Procedures and ensure they are up to date, fully understood and adhered to by respective departments
  • Provide executive oversight of Human Resources, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Partner with leadership to assess organizational structure, staffing requirements, succession planning, and workforce needs.
  • Ensure HR practices support the attraction and retention of skilled manufacturing and professional talent.
  • Establish meaningful workforce metrics related to recruiting, turnover, retention, attendance, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support leadership development and management accountability throughout the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversee legal activities, including, but not limited to: reviewing and approving contracts, NDA’s, Mergers & Acquisitions documents (business and real estate); litigation, personnel and other legal issues
  • Oversee corporate governance documation, including setup and management of legal entities and filings
  • Evaluate opportunities to improve administrative and operational efficiency through technology and automation.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, continuous improvement, and service to internal customers.
  • Standardize administrative processes where practical, while maintaining the flexibility required in a smaller organization.
  • Identify unnecessary complexity, duplication, or administrative burden and implement practical solutions.
  • Lead change-management efforts associated with new systems, processes, policies, and organizational initiatives.

PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY

This position interacts with the CEO as well as other executives and company employees; in addition they will be communicating with people outside the company for tasks required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Operations or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in administration, operations, HR, corporate services, or related functions.
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience with responsibility for multiple functional areas.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing policies, processes, controls, and organizational systems.
  • Strong understanding of employment practices, business risk, vendor management, and corporate administration.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
