Job DescriptionInhabit is seeking a senior technical product leader to guide the next generation of insurance technology capabilities across the insurance division. This role connects business strategy with practical product execution, helping translate operational needs, customer expectations, compliance considerations, and platform opportunities into clear product direction. The Director, Technical Product
- Insurance will work across insurance operations, engineering, architecture, data, support, QA, and business leadership to shape priorities, clarify requirements, guide delivery decisions, and ensure technology investments improve speed, accuracy, scalability, and user experience, and partner with cross‑functional teams to support go‑to‑market planning, launch readiness, adoption, and post‑launch performance. The ideal candidate brings strong product judgment, technical and AI fluency, insurance domain knowledge, and the ability to lead through influence in a fast‑moving environment with competing priorities.
You'll Do
- Set product direction for assigned insurance technology platforms by converting business goals, operational pain points, compliance requirements, and user feedback into an actionable product plan.
- Maintain a clear view of near‑term delivery priorities and longer‑term platform needs, balancing growth initiatives, system stability, regulatory obligations, process improvement, usability, and technical constraints.
- Partner with insurance programs, technology, data, support, and operational leaders to understand workflow challenges, evaluate solution options, and make practical recommendations that improve the business.
- Lead discovery and intake efforts by gathering input from internal and external users, business leaders, support trends, operational reporting, and platform performance to identify where technology can create the greatest value.
- Convert complex business needs into delivery‑ready requirements, including clear scope, expected outcomes, user impacts, dependencies, acceptance expectations, and implementation considerations.
- Manage the product backlog with a disciplined approach to prioritization, ensuring the team is focused on work that delivers meaningful business, customer, compliance, or operational benefit.
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, QA, UX, analytics, and operations to evaluate feasibility, resolve ambiguity, remove blockers, and support high‑quality execution.
- Facilitate decision‑making across stakeholders when priorities conflict, trade‑offs are required, or additional clarity is needed to move work forward.
- Communicate product priorities, delivery status, risks, upcoming releases, and business impacts in a clear and concise manner for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Leverage AI to both optimize the product delivery workflow and bring AI innovation into the client experience within our applications.
- Use product performance data, adoption trends, production issues, user feedback, and operational metrics to assess whether solutions are working and where additional iteration is needed.
- Support release planning and readiness by coordinating communications, training inputs, documentation, support preparation, validation needs, and post‑launch follow‑up.
- Help guide pilots, phased rollouts, or targeted testing efforts…
