Harris is seeking a Integrated Program Lead for the ULA Vulcan program. Vulcan is a program for United Launch Alliance where L3
Harris will provide a suite of Space Avionics to support the Vulcan Launch Vehicle. L3
Harris is seeking a talented Operations Lead to work with Operation Leadership and Program Management. Responsible for managing the communication, scheduling, coordination, and execution of manufacturing. Ensure that all resources such as engineering , manpower, production, and facilities are available to support the program. Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the IPT Lead on the Vulcan program
- Direct all phases of program from inception through completion
- Drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs
- Responsible for managing program cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs, in compliance with L3
Harris internal standards to ensure that customer requirements are met - Responsible as the primary L3
Harris Program Manager point of contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with PMO to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance while establishing rapport of trust and understanding with those customers - Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules as well as identify program problems and obtain solutions such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications
- Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas
- Ensure all resources such as engineering, manpower, facilities, equipment, tools, etc. are available for successful program execution
- Work guided by individual annual goals and objectives with minimal oversight or direction
- Responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other program teams within area of expertise
- Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams
- Communicate within and outside of the organization to include customers or vendors
- Work to influence others to accept individual or team’s views or practices and changes to concepts, practices, and approaches
- Communicate with leadership regarding matters of importance to the business area
- Develop and present executive briefings on programs and new business opportunities and solutions
- Work consists of making significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area
- Implement strategic goals established by leadership and establishes operational plans for job area with short-term impact on results (e.g., less than 1 year)
- Provide input into new products, processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have measurable impact on the achievement of overall function or business results
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in program planning, guidance, and engineering execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Demonstrated experience understanding of engineering processes and policies
- Ability to travel as needed based on business demands
- Must be a United States Citizen.
Preferred Additional
Skills:
- 4+ years of relevant experience in a program team environment on government cost plus, fixed price and time and materials programs, including relevant experience as a program manager, IPT lead, or as a operations manager effective leadership and management of people by embracing responsibility to lead, manage, motivate, inspire, and reward individuals and teams
- 4+ years of experience with Earned Value Management Systems and Control Account Management
