GENERAL FUNCTION

The Account Specialist supports Eye Med’s Strategic Partner Account Management team and the overall growth and retention activities for our large healthcare partners. This role provides account management support, coordinates cross‑functional activities, researches and resolves client issues, manages operational requests, supports reporting and presentations, and drives exceptional client service. The Account Specialist acts as a liaison between client‑facing teams and internal departments to ensure timely, accurate delivery of client requests and business objectives.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a primary support resource for Account Managers and Strategic Partner clients.
• Manage ticket submission and tracking for reporting, provider recruitment, provider escalations, geo‑reporting, and other operational requests.
• Collect, analyze, and package reports and client information for Account Manager delivery.
• Build and update business review presentations, including data population and slide maintenance.
• Provide support for RFP responses and client information requests.
• Submit and track custom quote requests in partnership with Account Managers.
• Assist with  research, distribution inquiries, and related client requests.
• Conduct audits and reviews of client documentation and account materials to ensure accuracy.
• Support special projects, process improvement initiatives, and workload balancing activities.
• Maintain strong cross‑functional relationships and communicate updates effectively.
• Support PTO coverage and other team support functions as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and client experience.
• Maintain detailed documentation and follow established turnaround times and service standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 0-1 years business experience (account management, sales support, marketing, data/business analytics or relevant experience)
• Ability to compile and interpret data sets
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Power Point
• Comfort managing e‑mail and telephonic relationships
• Demonstrated sense of urgency responding to customers, attention to detail and ability to proofread complex documents and data sets
• Possesses an Accident / Health Insurance License or ability to obtain license within 60 days of hire

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Health, dental or vision insurance industry experience
• Business‑to‑business client support experience
• Analytical skills with ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting required deadlines
