As a Manufacturing Assembler you will be responsible for a variety of assembly operations tasks-assembling precision electro-optical semiconductor components, welding, and soldering under levels of optical magnification. Additionally, you will be responsible for following standard practices and procedures to involve SMT/Leaded equipment.

RESPONSIBILITES- Complete assigned solder processes as required (ie. Soldering components, configuring cabling, and configuring wires)
- Support group objectives for on-time delivery
- Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components for customer deliverables
- Verify use of most updated procedures
- Follow industry standard or practice for 6S
- Perform torque training, inspection of hardware, hot air reworks, and mechanical assembly
- Assist in guiding peers in completing daily tasks
- A High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of operating SMT equipment.
- Possess proficient computer skills. Able to navigate email and Microsoft office.
- Ability to learn to read/follow drawings and work instructions
- Communication – must be an effective communicator
- Familiarity with the use of basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, plyers, wire strippers, etc.
- Knowledge of programming and operating SMT Equipment along with Selective Soldering equipment (SPI, Vapor Phase, Stencil Cleaner, AOI, Stencil Printer, etc.)
- Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Prolonged standing
