What You Will Do:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the FPI Inspector is responsible for following all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment that they may be required to run. In addition, inspectors must load/unload parts, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, accept or reject parts, and communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing.
- Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary, such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Perform and document the scheduled FPI test log and reports
- Maintain, test, and replenish dipping solutions
- Clean parts using chemical degreaser and parts wash machine
- Prep parts using specialized material
- Inspect parts using ultraviolet light
- Report proper labor hours in the ERP system
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a working relationship with Quality and Engineering
- Dependability, integrity, cooperation, and taking the initiative for responsibilities and challenges are critical
- Ability to operate autonomously and self-direct
- Good and reliable attendance and a positive attitude are a must
