Job SummaryAs a member of the Paint team within Engineered Air Movement, you will ensure all parts are free from defects and properly finished by painting or powder coating.
Job Responsibilities- Follow all safety rules and adhere to core values of the business.
- Maintain clean, orderly work areas and equipment.
- Report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor.
- Ensure proper and effective operation of the finishing system so that all parts and surfaces are defect‑free.
- Monitor the quality of own work and report defective material, unusual conditions, or operating difficulties.
- Perform light maintenance on equipment, machines, and devices used in normal work.
- Read work orders to select correct part numbers and apply correct color.
- Document work performed for required production records.
- Utilize small tools such as grinders to remove scratches, excess weld material, and burrs.
- Operate sandblasting machine to clean surfaces prior to painting or coating.
- Coordinate staging and sequencing of hanging parts, production items, and product components for painting on the overhead conveyor system.
- Operate spray painting guns and related equipment efficiently, following all safety and OSHA standards.
- Unload parts, items, and product components.
- Demonstrate a desire to do the right thing.
- Function as a team player, assisting other members and departments with non‑routine duties as needed.
- Punctual, on time, and ready to work every day.
- 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with sandblasting, industrial paint, or a similar operation.
- Positive attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail.
- Process improvement mindset.
- Safety‑oriented.
- Excellent attendance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Lifting to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, and working at heights.
- Perform repetitive motions.
- Plant environment with potential exposure to harsh weather, excessive heat/cold, and/or excessive noise.
