Job Overview
Hi‑Tek Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to develop a career in advanced manufacturing technology. Responsibilities- Perform general electrical and mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic production equipment.
- Use testing devices to identify electrical and mechanical issues.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Weld in as needed (ARC, MIG, or TIG).
- Manage building electrical wiring problems or installations.
- Apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to repair machinery.
- Read schematics, drawings, layouts, or specifications to locate and diagnose problems.
- Operate platform lifts (fork‑lifts, aerial lifts, scissor lifts) and overhead cranes as required.
- Use hand/power tools and material‑handling equipment.
- Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Follow lock‑out and tag‑out protocols.
- Assist other maintenance staff and respond to daily facilities work orders and special projects.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Perform cleaning activities and daily housekeeping.
- Follow all safety‑related policies, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Stay alert to unsafe behaviors or conditions and report them to management.
- Operate autonomously and self‑directed; demonstrate reliability and teamwork.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a maintenance certificate program from a two‑year college or technical school (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of CNC machines, distributed control systems, and logic controllers.
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems.
- Ability to work with low‑voltage systems.
- Experience with electrical and instrumentation work preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Must meet ITAR definition: U.S. person per 120.15.
- Work efficiently with others or independently.
- Integrity and conscientiousness in all work‑related tasks.
- Safety conscious at all times.
- Reliable attendance per attendance policy.
- Complex problem solving with critical math skills.
- Follow verbal and written instructions in English; communicate clearly.
- Written communication in English.
- Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Stand or walk about 95% of the shift.
- Reach overhead or at/below shoulder level; bend, twist, kneel, crouch, grasp.
- Operate foot or leg controls; climb stairs, ladders, or scaffolding.
- Maintain visual acuity (distance, near, color, depth) of 20/20 natural or corrected.
- Speak, hear, and understand speech and other sounds.
- Perform under AS9100 standards.
- 1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday (overtime as needed).
- 2nd shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM (overtime as needed).
Hourly wage: $25–$40.
