Mason Family Pet Hospital is seeking to hire Veterinary Assistants to support our fast-paced, multi-doctor veterinary practice. We have served the Mason community for 20 years, providing high-quality care to patients and excellent experiences to clients. We pride ourselves on our fun, relaxed, and supportive atmosphere for team members.
We are open to both full and part-time candidates, with preference given to full-time candidates and experience in a veterinary setting being a plus.

- Assist with patient care and treatment.
- Monitor hospitalized pets and aid in caring for animals after surgery.
- Maintain inventory and stocking.
- Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims.
- Aid with routine diagnostic tests.
- Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas.
- Administer medications under veterinarian or vet tech supervision.
- Feed and bathe animals.
- Answer phones and help reception as needed.
- Help clients with their pets.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Must be a self-starter, able to multitask, and a team player.
- Willing to be cross-trained to reception and scheduled as needed.
- Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can deal with them when stressed, ill, or in pain.
- Highly prefer 1+ years of experience, but not required.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying, and restraining animals.
- Base hourly rate of $14.00-$18.00 DOE.
- Eligible for periodic bonuses.
