Manager / Team Leader In this role, you will advance welding and material science for advanced manufacturing in the Welding & NDE team, shaping new fabrication processes and industrialization on shop floors. You will apply FEM analyses and develop weld procedures to support energy-transition projects, from hydrogen-related challenges to CO2 capture and super-critical systems. You’ll coordinate technical work across teams, suppliers, and customers to translate research into practical production improvements.

Develop welding, brazing, and heat treatment techniques and procedures for metals and alloys used in fabrication
Conduct R&D to create and validate new welding methods, equipment, and processes
Perform FEM analysis on welding and thermal processes using advanced simulation software
Prepare technical reports documenting R&D findings and maintenance investigations
Establish welding/brazing procedures including pre/post-heating requirements for complex materials
Direct and coordinate inspections to ensure compliance with welding, brazing, and thermal procedures
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to exchange technical information and advice
Carry out experimental welding tests to evaluate new equipment, techniques, and materials
Material science and/or welding engineering experience
Master's Degree in Mechanical, Material Science or Metallurgical Engineering Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
Strong oral and written communication in English and Italian Interpersonal and leadership skills
Good problem identification and solution skills
Active interest in staying abreast of technology advancements
Experience working in cross-functional teams
International Welding Engineer/Technologist certification is a plus
PhD in Material Science with Ni-based Alloys processing focus is a plus
