Position Summary
We are seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join our team in a correctional healthcare setting in Dartmouth, MA. This role involves assisting the dentist during examinations and treatments, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during exams and procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clear operating field.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain dental equipment.
• Mix restorative materials and assist with intra-oral and extra-oral x-rays.
• Develop and mount x-ray films.
• Prepare trays for daily procedures (e.g., pulpotomy, caries control, amalgam, perio/scaling).
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dental clinic.
• Take inventory and order supplies with dentist approval.
• Follow all security rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (excluding holidays).
• Preferred: One Sunday per month (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) when the oral surgeon is on-site. This is typically the third Sunday of each month, and will replace one weekday shift of your choosing. Not a deal breaker if unavailable for Sunday.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certification (Required).
• At least 1 year of dental assistant experience.
• Must pass facility background clearance.
