Hours:
Part-time. School year:
Afternoon hours only. 2:30pm - 5:30pm, Summer/School Breaks: 20+ hours varied weekly.
REPORTS TO:
Out of School Time Director/Out of School Time Coordinator
JOB GOAL:
Under supervision of the Director or designee, supervise children during playtime, ensuring safety and appropriate interactions.
- Implement age-appropriate activities and learning centers
- Provide individual attention to children as needed.
- Monitor children for signs of distress or potential hazards.
- Prepare materials and set up learning environments for activities.
- Lesson plans and curriculum implementation.
- Facilitate small group activities under the Site Coordinator or Program Coordinator supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
- Observe, document, and communicate concerning behavior to the Site Coordinator, Program Coordinator or Director
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance and daily activities.
- Follow all EEC regulations regarding child safety and hygiene practices.
- Participate in emergency drills and procedures.
- Adhere to all reporting requirements regarding child abuse or neglect.
- * Performs such other appropriate tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
Position Type: Part-time
Salary: $15.50 to $16.50 Per Hour

Job Requirements- CPR/First Aid certified required or must obtain CPR/First certification.
- 6 months of experience with children graded preK-4 working in a childcare or school setting preferred.
- Ability to work as a part of a team and independently.
- Demonstrate patience, understanding, warmth, and compassion toward children.
- Must be able to work with children who have different abilities.
- Proof of recent physical examination and proof of MMR vaccination or titer.
- Must complete EEC Essentials 2.0 Training.
- Must undergo a background check and fingerprints.
- Must be at least 18.
- At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- High School/Trade School degree preferred.
