Electrical Technician

Job Title:

Electrical Technician - Contract
Pay Rate: $34hr - $45hr (Depending on Experience)
Job Type: 6 Month Contract

Location:

Devens, MA (ONSITE)
Able to work a few hours of OT each week, but not guaranteed.

• Individual contributor in electrical sub-system and system level testing and validation, knowledge in controls and programming is a plus.
• Ability to understand electrical schematics, general layout drawings, simulation results, specifications and engineering reports.
• Perform repeated sub-system level inspection, installation, configuration, and commissioning.
• Experience working as part of a team on advanced development and system implementation is a plus.
• Proactively procure or build all tools, fixtures, or manipulation equipment required for the upcoming tests per schedule.
• Attend design reviews and provide feedback from the test perspective to the engineering team.
• Assist in the testing with regards to root cause analysis and field failures is a plus.
• Hands on work with Low Voltage (1000V up to 35kV).
• Collaborate with engineering teams proactively to seek feedback and meet all the requirements defined.

• Associate’s degree in electrical technology or a related field in technology or equivalent certification or extensive experience with Electrical systems.
• 2-3 years of Electrical Experience demonstrating hands on installation, testing and validation.
• Experience working with Low Voltage (1kV up to 35kV).

• Lifting operations experience Knowledge of assembling sub-systems and prototype systems.
• Experience with highly complex electrical systems.
• Experience with fast-paced and dynamic construction, manufacturing, or assembly/integration builds.
• Experience working on complex electromechanical and/or mechanical systems.

• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform activities such as typing, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time.
• Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally.
• Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics.

$35 - $45 an hour
