Position: Electronics Calibration Technician (Holt Precision Inc)
Location: West Bridgewater

Holt Precision Inc., an Accredited Labs company, is looking to recruit a qualified Electronics Calibration Technician with substantial calibration experience.

As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for performing independent calibrations of diverse equipment in a variety of fields and settings.

The ideal candidate possesses comprehensive experience in electronic calibration across various equipment types, as our advanced laboratory supports calibrations in multiple disciplines. This includes a broad range of electronic and RF/microwave instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, signal generators, spectrum and network analyzers, function generators, power supplies, temperature meters and humidity devices, among others.

We provide services to a diverse clientele throughout Massachusetts, spanning numerous industries and demanding a wide range of expertise. This position involves both laboratory responsibilities and performing on-site calibrations at various local client locations.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Z540.1 and ISO 17025:2017, and approved internal operational and quality assurance procedures.
  • Complete accurate and timely calibrations in the lab and on customer sites.
  • Conduct performance acceptance evaluation of new equipment and assure audit capability through completion and retention of all appropriate records.
  • Perform calibration, performance checks, and repair and maintenance on a wide variety of instruments in accordance with established procedures and standards.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair laboratory calibration standards.
  • Handle all equipment according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and good handling practices.
  • Ensure all Measuring & Testing Equipment are calibrated before use.
  • Continually review all work processes, calibration, and test results for accuracy and completeness.
  • Work directly with clients with effective communication to provide client updates and answer customer questions.
  • Ensure all calibration complies with test and operation procedures and with industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Ensure that all calibration and tests are conducted safely and in compliance with established safety standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
  • Lead, instruct, and train junior technicians as required to complete calibration tasks and documentation. May serve as the lead and assign work to less experienced personnel.
  • Review work of lower-level technicians for quality; serve as a mentor when assisting less experienced staff in solving more complex problems.
  • Help with planning/scheduling and performing calibrations on a wide variety of instruments.
  • Oversee work performed by team members to ensure execution, resource allocation and complete, accurate documentation.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Radio Frequency experience
  • One of the following:
    Completed formal calibration training in both electronic and Physical/Dimensional disciplines or equivalent experience.
    OR Military PMEL Training and Certification OR Associate’s degree in engineering, Electronics or other Technical Fields
  • 4+ years of experience in calibrating a variety of Electronic/Electrical or Physical/Dimensional instruments
  • Experience performing calibrations in a commercial, ISO
    17025-accredited laboratory
  • Technical understanding and advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
