As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high‑quality patient care, assisting healthcare providers, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your Impact- Patient Interaction:
Engage with patients in a welcoming and professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing assistance and information regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications. - Clinical Responsibilities:
Support clinical operations and patient care. - Medication Administration (prescription meds – NH & ME only):
Administer medications under the supervision and direction of licensed healthcare providers, adhering to state regulations and guidelines for medication administration. - Collaboration with Clinical Team:
Work closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Must be able to work 12‑hour shifts in consecutive or non‑consecutive days.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays.
- If needed, must be able to work at a minimum of three other Convenient
MD locations within a one‑hour travel distance from your primary clinic.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED required. - Certification or demonstrated prior experience:
Medical Assistant certification with at least one (1) year of experience or two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification:
American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. - Compassionate, authentic, and patient focused.
- Proactive and confident communicator (written and verbal).
- Trustworthy:
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. - Effective communicator and cross collaborator.
- Excellent team player.
- Technically savvy:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- 1‑2 years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department preferred.
Hourly Pay Range for this Position: $20.22 USD – $28.02 USD
