About NMH
Northfield Mount Hermon, an independent boarding and day school located in the beautiful Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts, was founded on the principles of inclusivity and community — values that have been central to the school’s mission since 1879. NMH engages the intellect, compassion, and talents of its students, empowering them to act with humanity and purpose.
A Day in the Life
The AV and Service Desk Technician provides frontline technology support to the NMH community, troubleshooting hardware, software, accounts, and other technology issues while managing service requests through the IT ticketing system. The role also provides hands-on AV support for classes, meetings, and campus events, including setup and operation of projectors, sound systems, web conferencing, and basic live-streaming. Because NMH is a residential school with a busy campus event schedule, this position requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events, performances, admissions programs, and other campus needs.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with a diverse community of technology users and will bring strong communication skills, curiosity, and a commitment to service.
