Quality Technician temp-to-hire
Location:
Taunton, MA. Pay: $24/hour. Shift: 1st shift - 9 am - 6:30 pm.
The Quality Technician ensures adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, and product quality standards. They will provide technical support to Production and Sanitation teams on the assigned shift and promote compliance with food safety and process quality standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Technician (Food Safety)- Support Production and Sanitation teams.
- Monitor, verify, and document SOPs related to product quality, food safety, and sanitation.
- Communicate product safety and quality standards to staff.
- Assist with the coordination of quality and food safety-related activities, including process and testing.
- Audit sanitation processes and ensure quality standards.
- Maintain and calibrate QC instruments (e.g., water meters, thermometers, metal detectors).
- Oversee control systems for sampling plans, hold/release, processing, and more.
- Lead sampling for microbiological, chemical, and sensory analysis of final products.
- Minimum high school diploma with strong skills in science and math.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and excellent communication abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a solid attendance record.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
