Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist II for a leading medical device manufacturer in Franklin, MA. This hands‑on opportunity involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss‑style machines to produce high‑precision components used in medical technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss‑style machines according to blueprints, setup sheets, and production specifications.
Edit CNC programs, adjust tooling and machine settings, and troubleshoot machining issues.
Inspect finished components using blueprints and specifications to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
Machine precision components using stainless steel, nitinol, nickel alloys, and other specialty metals.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and support machine reliability.
Maintain accurate production records and inspection documentation.
Follow established safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of CNC machining experience, including machine setup and operation.
Experience setting up CNC equipment using technical drawings, setup sheets, and work instructions.
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and inspect parts to specifications.
Experience editing CNC programs and troubleshooting machining processes.
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Comfortable using computer systems for production and quality documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

CNC machining experience in medical device or precision manufacturing.
Experience with Swiss‑style CNC machines.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA, or GMP manufacturing standards.
Experience machining stainless steel, nitinol, nickel alloys, or other specialty metals.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
