Our Gastroenterology office, located at 10 Main Street, Suite 2, Florence, MA 01062, offers comprehensive care in all fields of gastroenterology, including colon cancer prevention, acute and chronic liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and upper gastrointestinal motility testing.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a 40‑hour Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to support our office Monday‑Friday from 8:00 am‑4:30 pm. Weekly schedules consist of 32 hours of clinical, patient‑facing time, and 8 hours of administrative time, which can be worked remotely. The APP will have their own panel of patients in addition to supporting the practice’s panel, enhancing operations, increasing volume, driving efficiency, and ensuring excellent patient care and experience.
The APP will handle traditional GI‑related visits and procedural consultations, working autonomously up to the top of their licensure while functioning as part of a team.
- Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting
- Performs complete histories and physical examinations
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Develops appropriate plans of care and follow‑up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings
- Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries
- Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population
- Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures
Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
Licenses and CredentialsRegistered Nurse (RN) – State License (generic). Preferred:
Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) – State License (generic).
Experience as a nurse practitioner 0‑1 year preferred.
