Vital Core Health Strategies (VCHS), an industry leader in Correctional Health Care, is hiring a Part‑Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an evening shift at Northeastern Correctional Center in Concord, MA. The LPN delivers quality care that is consistent with the state nurse practice act for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses. The LPN is responsible for tasks, activities, and functions as delegated, can assign duties to others as defined by the state of practice act, and provides patient monitoring as directed by the Medical Director, Registered Nurse, or other practitioner.

Schedule: Part‑Time, Evening Shift (16 hours per week).

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
• Active CPR certification.
• Knowledgeable about state laws and regulations governing practice.
• Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies as required by role.

Essential Functions:

• Utilizes a systematic approach to meet the health needs of each individual patient.
• Implements nursing care within the LPN’s scope of practice, complying with all applicable laws.
• Assists in the development and implementation of teaching plans focused on health promotion and restoration.
• Cares for wounds with appropriate cleaning and dressing/bandaging.
• Administers medications to offenders.
• Provides care for multiple patients as directed by the Medical Director, DON, or Registered Nurse.
• Monitors vital signs and reports changes to appropriate medical staff.
• Documents actions in the Medical Activity Record (MAR) and medical records.
• Performs other nursing duties as assigned by facility.
