We are seeking a skilled veterinary technician with a strong foundation in horsemanship for an ambulatory, full-time position. Under the supervision of a Veterinarian, the technician will assist in diagnosis and treatment of urgent and routine equine medical events in the clinic and at local farms, care for hospitalized patients, process laboratory testing, and assist with facility maintenance as needed.

• Assist veterinarians in diagnosis and treatment of equine patients in clinic and field settings
• Care for hospitalized patients and process laboratory testing
• Support facility maintenance as needed

• Excellent horse handling skills with 5+ years of experience in a barn setting (including loading onto trailers) required
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can think critically on their feet
• Ability to remain composed in stressful and emotional situations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Motivated, dependable, with a strong work ethic and love for horses
• Proficiency with computers, tablets, and cloud-based data recording systems
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must possess a valid MA driver’s license and dependable transportation

• First 30–60 days will be dedicated to training; then the schedule is four days per week with a shared rotation of weekends on-call
