Emergency Veterinarian at Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists
We are seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our rapidly expanding team at Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS) in Buzzards Bay and Dennis, MA. Our hospital is a hub for advanced veterinary medicine, offering over 20 specialists covering nine specialties, and we serve as the go‑to emergency and specialty referral center for Cape Cod and the Islands.

About This RoleAs an Emergency Veterinary Associate (ECC), you will provide comprehensive, high‑quality animal care in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Efficiently triage, stabilize, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Ensure proactive client communication and exceptional medical treatment.
- Cultivate a consistently positive work environment.
- Engage in proactive collaboration with team members to optimize patient care and promote teamwork.
- Provide comprehensive education to clients on various injuries, illnesses, and treatment protocols.
- Proactively cultivate and strengthen client, patient, and referring veterinarian relationships.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be a DVM, VMD, or equivalent and be able to obtain licensure in the state of MA.
- Have internship or experience in an emergency setting.
- Be capable of collaborating with diverse teams across all capacities within the organization.
- Excel in high‑stress situations while maintaining composure.
- Display strong critical thinking skills, high motivation, and a passion for continuous education.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Your compensation and schedule:
- Four‑day per week schedule.
- Competitive salary ranging from $160,000 to $215,000 annually, commensurate with experience and schedule, plus eligibility for a pooled production bonus program.
- Relocation assistance if needed.
- Opportunity to work at both our Buzzards Bay and Dennis locations.
