Cafeteria Worker​/Kitchen Helper

The Southern Berkshire Regional School District has a vacancy for a (2) Cafeteria Worker/Kitchen Helpers for the  School Year. The ideal candidates will possess the following skills:

• Experience in the principles of quantity food preparation.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain accurate production records, per Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and current industry protocol.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Serv‑Safe Certified.
• Knowledge of food ordering and maintaining inventories.
  
  Ability to engage in moderate physical activity such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

• To assist in promoting a quality child nutrition program, and adhering to the District Wellness Policy.
• To assist in providing nutritionally balanced, palatable and safe meals to all patrons.
• To assist in maintaining a professional environment and to treat students, staff, and visitors with respect and courtesy.
• To cooperate and communicate efficiently and effectively with all people involved with the Food Services Program.
• Assists in the preparation of the daily menu and helps oversee meal service.
• Learn and operate the Point of Sale system for meal payment.
• Assist in the daily clean‑up of the kitchen and equipment.
• Performs related duties as required including duties at special functions or catering events.

Position 1: 6:00 am‑2:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Position 2: 8:00 am‑2:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Starts at $17.72/per hour
