Location: Osterville

Position Summary: The Bartender supports daily beverage service by preparing and serving drinks, assisting guests at the bar, and maintaining clean, organized workstations. This position ensures bar and dining areas are properly stocked and that members and guests receive warm, friendly, and efficient service. The role supports beverage preparation and assists service staff during busy periods.

Status: Seasonal, Full-time, Non-exempt

Responsibility: High level of supervision needed. Low level of operational decision making.

Reports to: Director of Food & Beverage

Effort: Medium – Walk and stand for extended periods. Bend, reach, push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds.

Conditions:

Level 3 – Half indoors, half outdoors, air‑conditioned environment, variable schedule, some hazards.

  • Basic Administrative: technology use, communication, organization, time management.
  • Teamwork & Communication: interact, listen, speak, read, write, observe, English fluency.
  • Customer Service: product knowledge, problem‑solving, time management, attentiveness, patience, positive attitude, go the extra mile.
  • Food Service: food presentation, service etiquette, standards, menu knowledge, beverage knowledge.
  • Safety: observe safety rules, safe equipment operation, food safety, CPR & First Aid.
  • Experience:

    at least 3 months in fine‑dining or high‑volume environment.

Duties:

  • Greets members and guests at the bar, provides friendly, attentive service.
  • Takes food and beverage orders, enters accurately into the POS system.
  • Prepares and serves alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages per standard recipes and guidelines.
  • Delivers meals, beverages, and service items promptly and professionally.
  • Sets, clears, and resets the bar dining area per club standards.
  • Restocks bar areas with beverages, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed.
  • Maintains clean, organized bar stations by wiping surfaces, washing tools, and organizing supplies.
  • Supports servers by preparing drinks for dining room orders in a timely manner.
  • Assists with routine opening and closing duties assigned by supervisors.
  • Responds to member and guest inquiries, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Helps ensure accurate posting of items into the POS system.
  • Monitors bar conditions and reports any issues to supervisors.
  • Follows all club safety standards and alcohol service policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Base Pay Range: $22.00/hr – $27.00/hr
