Restaurant Floating Manager – Hemsta Fastigheter
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our nationally recognized bakery café and work at both of our locations in Millis, MA and Burlington, MA. The role is a floating position; you will manage both cafes, supporting operations, staffing, and guest experience. Base pay $60,000–$70,000 plus 10‑15% bonus, benefits, and daytime hours.
Weekly hours: 40–50 hours

- Create a memorable guest experience through food, service, team leadership, and environment.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members to keep the café fully staffed and growing.
- Partner closely with ownership and Bake House management to ensure smooth operation at each location.
- Act with an ownership mentality, becoming the face of the operation in the local region; promote the company through community outreach.
- Manage budgets, P&L, and inventory in partnership with the team.
- Float between locations as needed to share best practices and support staffing.
- Work side‑by‑side during peak service times, ensuring high level of guest satisfaction.
- Have kitchen experience; back up the line, perform line checks, write production lists, set purchasing, assist with bakery tasks, and encourage teamwork.
- Prior experience managing in Polished Casual, Fast Casual, or Upscale environments.
- Track record of top performance.
- Good at working and leading in a collaborative team.
- Highly driven, ambitious, and a “make it happen” individual.
- Strategic mindset, coach team to achieve goals.
- Solid operational results with reliable employment history.
- Strong instinct for client‑facing conversations.
- Business acumen managing P&L, scheduling, ordering & inventory.
- Hands‑on leadership in a scratch‑kitchen restaurant; may need to work line when needed.
- Desire and ability to learn and excel personally and professionally.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred in hospitality or related field.
- 3+ years managing a team in a high‑volume facility.
- Excellent written & verbal communication; collaborative work style.
- Must be able to stand for long periods (up to 10 hours) and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commercial kitchen experience required.
Full‑time, expected weekly hours 45–50. Multi‑unit position available.
