Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Correctional Officer at the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ facility in Devens, MA. The Correctional Officer will be responsible for supervising inmates, ensuring the physical security of the facility, and maintaining order and discipline. Duties also include conducting regular inspections, responding to emergencies, and participating in the training of new officers. The Correctional Officer will enforce rules and regulations, monitor inmate activities, and provide support in various aspects of inmate rehabilitation.
Qualifications- Supervisory Skills and experience in maintaining discipline and order
- Knowledge in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement
- Skills in Physical Security management and emergency response
- Experience in Training programs for staff and inmates
- Strong ethical standards and integrity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a stressful and fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or related field is preferred
