Are you an early riser looking for a part-time job that makes a real impact? The Salem YMCA is seeking certified lifeguards to join our aquatics team during our morning hours - the perfect role for college students, retirees, or anyone who loves starting the day early with meaning and purpose.
In this role, you'll:- Help open our pool and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for members.
- Provide lifeguard coverage for early morning swimmers and classes.
- Opportunity to teach swim lessons and share your love of the water.
- Model our Y values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility while engaging with members.
- Maintain a focus on safety, attention to detail, and teamwork.
Current Lifeguard Certification (or willingness to get certified - we can help!)
Dependable, early-morning work ethic
Strong communication and customer service skills
A passion for water safety and community

Qualifications- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- YUSA swim instructor/lifeguard certified preferred, but not required; training may be provided to the right candidate.
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:45 am to 9 am
