About

The Role

The Storekeeper will manage day‑to‑day inventory, including receipt and disbursement of parts, materials, and supplies, and oversee the inventory control system. The role collaborates with the facility buyer and management to ensure adequate supply of necessary items. Responsibilities include computer‑based record keeping and manual checks, acceptance and processing of profiled waste material, off‑loading inbound trucks, QA/QC, verifying container counts, manifest numbers, and sampling of non‑conforming material.

The Storekeeper also serves as the primary liaison for the facility’s American Flag Retirement program.

Position Responsibilities
  • Oversee all inventory/storeroom related activities for the facility.
  • Handle supplier interface and strengthen vendor database while maintaining ethical relationships internally and externally.
  • Maintain records of physical counts, receipts, adjustments, and returns to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Handle shipping and receiving, including placing parts/equipment in designated warehouse locations.
  • Organize and store received inventory, ensuring correct binning and database reflection.
  • Return canceled or damaged items to suppliers.
  • Track and provide updates on shipment status.
  • Ensure spare parts stay within established minimums & maximums.
  • Ensure procured materials & services are requisitioned properly and meet quality, safety, timeliness, and best value.
  • Assist with low‑value procurement activities maximizing usage of the P‑Card.
  • Perform administrative functions such as maintaining inventory and cycle counts, shipping/receiving records, and routine reports.
  • Provide additional administrative support to Purchasing and Quality departments.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area, complying with safety regulations.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks.
  • Process waste materials into like commodities or per vendor specifications.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance paperwork for equipment.
  • Load/unload van trailers and/or flat beds.
Position Requirements
  • One (1) year of related experience.
  • HS/GED diploma.
  • Ability to operate plant equipment as required.
Physical Demand Of

The Role
  • Walk, stand, sit, and climb.
  • Use hands to operate a computer or other office equipment.
  • Lift/carry 50 lbs.
  • Work from heights and in confined spaces.
  • Qualify to wear a full‑face respirator.
  • Work in various weather conditions consistently.
  • Work independently and within a team.
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel).
  • Good time management and organization skills.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $24.36–$32.42
