Central Supplies & Medical Records Coordinator

Facility: Parkview Care and Rehabilitation Center
Location: Massapequa, New York
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $43,000-$45,000 annually (based on experience)

Position Overview

Parkview Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a reliable and organized Central Supplies & Medical Records Coordinator to join our team. This dual‑role position is essential to maintaining smooth daily operations by ensuring adequate medical supply inventory and proper management of medical records in compliance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize the central supply area
  • Place supply orders and track inventory levels
  • Distribute supplies to all units based on a scheduled system
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure uninterrupted resident care
  • Perform light to moderate lifting as needed
  • Maintain, organize, and store medical records in accordance with DOH regulations
  • Respond to medical record requests from attorneys, families, and authorized parties
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all resident records
Candidate Requirements
  • Ability to perform some physical lifting
  • Previous secretarial or administrative experience required
  • Nursing home or healthcare facility experience preferred
  • Prior experience in central supplies and/or medical records strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with Sigma Care preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Comfortable using basic computer programs and office systems
