** In this role, you will:*
* * Create individualized care plans for patients under your supervision and care.
* Monitor and chart vital signs, weight, and height.
* Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge
* Assist physician with exams and/or urologic procedures
* Sterilize surgical instruments
* Prepare and administer injections
* Provide supportive resources to the patient and the families to promote a positive outlook.
* Teach patients and the families regarding treatment expectations.
* Watch and record the patient’s progress on a constant basis
* Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.
* Complete MAR after treatment.
* Provide the patient with discharge instructions that are specific to the patient as well as emergency numbers after care.
** We require:
*** Valid New York State RN License
* Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching
* Frequent exposure to chemicals, blood borne pathogens, and patient bodily fluids.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
* Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs
* Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred
