Up to $120,000 per year, based on experience
Parkview Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing team. This position is ideal for a clinically strong nurse who is passionate about wound management, quality outcomes, and providing exceptional care to residents.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssess residents admitted with wounds and residents who develop wounds during their stay.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans.
Lead and participate in weekly wound rounds, including accurate wound measurements, assessments, and documentation.
Complete and maintain weekly wound tracking reports and promptly communicate non-healing wounds or concerns to physicians.
Track, analyze, and distribute weekly decubitus ulcer statistics.
Provide in-service education and training to nursing staff regarding wound care best practices and proper treatment techniques.
Prepare quarterly Quality Assurance (QA) reports to support regulatory compliance and quality improvement initiatives.
Observe and evaluate dressing changes to ensure proper technique and staff competency.
Educate residents and families regarding wound care and treatment plans as appropriate.
Participate in ongoing wound care education and in-services to remain current with clinical standards and best practices.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Active New York State RN license required.
Wound Care Certification required.
Infection Control Certification required.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing home or long-term care experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families.
