Shift Lead – Crumbl Cookies, Massapequa, New York. We are cultivating an experience with customers and crew that builds and lifts others while developing a business‑oriented managerial mindset. Crumbl offers a rotating weekly menu, open concept kitchens, and a distinctive pink box as part of revolutionizing the gourmet dessert experience. We are seeking talented Shift Leads who want to grow with us and be part of the fastest-growing cookie franchise in the country.
As a Shift Leader you will oversee daily operations during designated shifts, supervise employees, and ensure that our customers receive outstanding service. The shift leader's responsibilities include creating a shift schedule, handling no-shows, delegating tasks, managing cash, and reporting issues to the manager.
Responsibilities- Operate the store daily as a key team member, ensuring fast, friendly customer experiences and a clean, organized kitchen.
- Maintain high-quality cookies and ensure smooth, efficient workflows; train and support crew to perform duties on time.
- Spend the majority of time in the kitchen with the team, assigning duties and ensuring completion of tasks.
- Create shift schedules, manage no-shows, delegate tasks, handle cash deposits, and report issues to management.
- Supervise employees, assign duties, monitor performance, and enforce company policies, health, and safety standards.
- Coach team members and train new staff; open/close registers and prepare daily cash deposits.
- Address customer issues and employee disputes and escalate as needed.
- Ensure compliance with policies, health and safety standards, and quality control.
- Open and close registers, account for daily intake, and prepare cash deposits.
- Address schedule gaps and maintain effective communication with the team and management.
- Genuinely nice demeanor with a fast, friendly attitude and work ethic
- Business acumen (labor, cost of goods, P&L)
- Food and facilities safety compliance
- Previous leadership experience in quick service restaurants
- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively
- Passion for the food service industry
- High school diploma/GED
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong leadership and organizational abilities
- Confident problem-solver; team player
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
- Serv Safe Food Handlers Certification (Preferred; if not, certification will be paid for)
- At least 1 year in restaurant/food industry management (Preferred)
- Days:
Monday through Saturday - Weekly hours: up to 40
- Shifts:
Morning, day, and night
$17-$20 per hour (includes hourly salary + tip)
