Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM

• Every other weekend coverage required

• Patient ratios:
Days 1:6, Nights 1:7, Weekends 1:8

• 1 year of nursing experience required

• Travel experience required

• Must live more than 50 miles from facility

• Epic charting system experience is a hard requirement

• NY license required in hand to submit

• BLS certification required

• 12 hours of orientation provided

• Float assignment required

Required skills:

MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule out

• Work with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary

• 25-bed unit with daily census of 15 patients

• Pre-start modules required (up to 5 billable hours, may reach 10 total hours)

The facility maintains a 25-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit that serves adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions. The hospital offers strong interdisciplinary support services and utilizes Epic charting system for patient documentation and care coordination.
