ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience

• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

As a Guest Advocate, No Two Days Are Ever The Same, But a Typical Day Will Most Likely Include The Following Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
• Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests and express appreciation for their visit
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Explain and demonstrate features within the Target App, including Wallet
• Understand Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering and help guests enroll, activate, and use these features
• Handle returns following policy while collaborating with Leaders as needed
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
• Stock supplies during store hours and be available for guests
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Work safely and comply with safety policies; report hazards
• Support guest services for order pickup, Drive-Up, and related duties in compliance with laws
• All other duties based on business needs

• Effective communication and positive language, attentive to guests’ needs
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
• Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
• Willingness to educate guests about products and services
• Ability to use multiple devices and handheld scanners and other technology
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks

• Accurately handle checkout operations and transactions; assist with cash office duties as needed
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
• Comfort with varying temperatures, humidity, and environment while performing duties
