Electrical Design Engineer
Seifert Engineering, Inc

The Electrical Design Engineer is a key technical resource within Seifert Engineering’s Engineering Services division. This position is responsible for the development, documentation, and implementation of electrical systems and controls that support both new and existing industrial machinery. It combines hands‑on engineering expertise with a strong customer‑service orientation and requires direct interaction with clients to understand operational challenges, propose tailored solutions, and ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into their manufacturing processes.

The engineer works closely with customers across a variety of industries, including automotive, tire and rubber, steel, pulp and paper, and food processing. Their primary focus is to modernize machinery, enhance safety, and improve production efficiency. Responsibilities include designing control panels, electrical distribution systems, automation solutions, and integrating smart manufacturing technologies.

This role also involves ongoing collaboration with Seifert’s internal teams, including mechanical designers, project managers, and field technicians, to translate complex requirements into reliable and maintainable electrical solutions. In addition to office‑based design work, the Electrical Design Engineer may support field activities such as site evaluations, equipment start‑up and commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure systems function as intended and meet customer expectations.
