Summary
The Rehab Technician is responsible for providing direct/indirect patient care to multiple patients under the direct on-site supervision of professional staff. Acts as a patient/family liaison with medical and hospital personnel. Assists with various administrative responsibilities and department upkeep.
Part-time, 20 Hours/week
Monday-Friday, Between hours of 7AM-7PM
Onsite Massillon, OH
Summary
The Rehab Technician is responsible for providing direct/indirect patient care to multiple patients under the direct on-site supervision of professional staff. Acts as a patient/family liaison with medical and hospital personnel. Assists with various administrative responsibilities and department upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Patient registration duties, including, but not limited to scheduling, answering phones, checking in patients, checking out patients, collecting co-pays, etc.
- Department upkeep including preparation of treatment areas and submission of work orders.
- Equipment maintenance and assembly/disassembly.
- Track inventory and stock supplies.
- Video recording therapy sessions.
- Transporting patients to/from therapy sessions.
- Direct/indirect patient care under therapist supervision (casting, transfers, toileting, dressing, bathing, positioning, gait training, assistance with groups, etc.).
- Coordination of care between disciplines, providers and family.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
- Other duties as required.
Technical Expertise
- Experience in a rehab setting working with children with who are medically fragile or have disabilities is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
- Education:
high school diploma or equivalent is required. - Years of relevant experience: minimum of 3 years is preferred.
- Years of experience supervising:
None. - BLS certification required within first 90 days of employment.
