JOB DESCRIPTION
The Team lead’s role is to guide a team of support services staff to achieve specific goals and objectives. This includes organizing work, delegating tasks, motivating team members, and facilitating communication. They also play a role in problem‑solving, performance management, and fostering a positive team environment. In addition, they assist with the surveillance and upkeep of our premises and protection of our residents, staff and visitors.
The Lead will be accountable for oversight of housekeeping, maintenance, security and food services.
- Knowledge of rules and guidelines of the recovery center de‑escalation techniques.
- Lead the support staff and promote a team environment.
- Implement processes and procedures specific to the respective departments.
- Monitor staff schedules and make changes when necessary to ensure coverage. Is responsible for making sure there is necessary coverage across all support services.
- Oversee the storage building, maintaining the integrity of the residents’ belongings.
- Secure, monitor and transport methadone patients and coordinates the schedule.
- Oversee methadone staff to promote safety and security.
- Make daily reports on departmental areas.
- Complete incident reports and take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor premises regularly to maintain facility upkeep.
- Establish presence and perform routine rounds inside and outside of the building.
- Is the lead on scheduling weekly patient room checks and monitoring safety.
- Responsible for all packages/mail in and out of the building as well as distribution to their respective department/patient.
- Conducts regular supply rounds to ensure appropriate par levels and inventory management.
- Help transport patients or retrieve facility goods in OVP Health vehicles when needed.
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in and around the property.
- Assist with ensuring all people on the property are appropriate and safe.
- Assists with catering orders as needed.
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
- Monitor facility compliance by ensuring completion of monthly inspections.
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
- Responsibility for monthly check of fire extinguishers, fire doors, outside lighting, safety drills and accompanying paperwork.
- Monitors facility cleanliness as well as ensuring kitchen compliance to standards.
- Assists the Manager with job performance evaluations and coaching of the team.
- Is responsible for oversight of the Support departments in the absence of the manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- First Aid/BLS and de‑escalation required.
- Experience in leadership is preferred.
